Each Sunday children, age 2 through 6th grade, may participate in Sunday School classes which are taught by our staff of loving and experienced volunteers. Many have taught for over 10 years and some have even been faithfully teaching for more than 20 years. During the Morning Worship we provide a Children’s Church for ages 2-4, as well as a Jr. Church for those in kindergarten through 3rd. In order to help acclimate children to family worship, our 4 year olds are taken by their parents after Sunday School into the worship service and are dismissed with the Kindergarten-3rd grade children just prior to the preaching time.
9:09 Song Time
Start of each Lord’s day with a time of singing. Children, 1st-6th grade, meet most weeks during the school year in the Music Room (adjacent to the gymnasium) to learn new songs and sing old favorites. Children are then taken to their Sunday School classes by their teachers at 9:30. Children who arrive by 9:09 receive a small treat.
Sunday School
Classes for grades 1-6 begin at 9:30 when 9:09 Song Time is in session, otherwise classes begin at 9:15. Classes for children ages 2 through Kindergarten run from 9:15-10:15 throughout the year.
Four Year Olds: Join their families in the auditorium after Sunday School and will return to the same classroom for Junior Church when the K-3rd grades are dismissed at 11am
Children's Church
Children (K-3rd) are dismissed at 11am from the Morning service to their own age-appropriate worship service in the Youth Room. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to this service. This time will include age-appropriate Bible lessons, singing, and Bible review games.
Safety
Safety is just as important to us as it is to you. We have a staff of well-trained security personnel who monitor the hallways of the children’s area. Parents of 2 year olds are also provided with a pager which can reach them anywhere throughout the building. Also, we ask that you personally come and get your Kindergartener or 1st grade child after Sunday School.
