Seeing and Believing: The Resurrection through the Eyes of Didymus
Apr 5, 2026
Easter Sunday's sermon explored the historical evidence for the resurrection through the story of Thomas (Didymus), one of Jesus' disciples who struggled with doubt after witnessing the crucifixion. We examined how Thomas moved from being a devoted follower willing to die with Jesus, to a crushed and jaded doubter, and finally to a believer who declared "My Lord and my God!" The sermon reminded us that the resurrection is not just a nice story for Easter Sunday—it's a historically verifiable event that demands our response. Like investigative journalist Lee Strobel, who set out to disprove Christianity only to become a believer, we are invited to examine the evidence and encounter the risen Christ for ourselves.
