The Shape of True Faith
From Genesis 13–14, we discover that faith is not a destination we reach but a lifelong journey of learning to trust God more deeply. Through Abraham's responses to failure, conflict, and opportunity, we see what mature faith looks like in everyday life. Rather than remaining defeated after failure, Abraham returned to worship and experienced God's grace. Instead of insisting on his own rights, he chose peace and humility. And rather than pursuing what appeared best by human standards, he trusted God's promises above visible advantages. This sermon challenges us to examine our own walk with God, encouraging us to respond to life's trials with repentance, humility, and confidence that God's plans are always better than what our eyes alone can see.
